The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) is updating its Public Involvement Plan. Please take the short Survey to inform us as to how we can most effectively reach you and receive valuable input on the transportation planning process in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area.
CRTPO works with the NCDOT and municipalities in Iredell, Mecklenburg, and Union Counties to develop future long range transportation plans and programs. During this process CRTPO solicits citizen input in the transportation planning process to identify its priorities.
Public Involvement Plan Amendments
CRTPO has prepared a draft of an amended Public Involvement Plan (PIP) and welcomes comments on its content. The primary reason for amending the PIP is to update the document to reflect changes associated with the adoption of the Safe, Accountable, Efficient, Flexible Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) transportation reauthorization legislation. Other changes relate to how CRTPO will conduct public involvement based on revisions to the Thoroughfare Plan/Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
