Continuing Conversation through Collaboration
The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) and the Gaston Cleveland Lincoln Metropolitan Planning Organization (GCLMPO) are holding a Joint MPO Roundtable on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The Joint MPO Roundtable, themed Continuing Conversation through Collaboration, will be held at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center for Board members attending in person. Remote Board attendees and Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) members may join via Zoom. The public is encouraged to view the meeting on CRTPO’s Facebook Live stream. No action will be taken during meeting.
The MPOs are providing this opportunity for their elected representatives and technical representatives among the member jurisdictions to build relationships and better understand collective interests. The shared border along the Catawba River creates multiple interrelated transportation, environmental, and economic issues that can affect multimodal transportation system performance across neighboring MPO planning areas. The Roundtable will include speakers, presentations, and panelists geared towards developing coordinated approaches to transportation projects with cross-jurisdictional impacts. Over the past two years, visioning and planning work has laid the groundwork for joint implementation opportunities with projects such as the Catawba Crossings study, CONNECT Beyond, and Beyond 77.
