CRTPO Board approved $3.5 million of transportation funding for Mecklenburg and Union counties

The CRTPO Board approved $3.5 million following the annual 2023 spring call for existing discretionary projects that have experienced a funding shortfall at its June 21, 2023, meeting. The Project Oversight Committee (POC) reviewed the project submittals and validated that projects were scored appropriately and qualified for discretionary project funds based upon CRTPO’s Discretionary Funds Policy Guide.

Table 1 shows a list of projects and funds awarded. The 2020-2029 TIP has been amended to add funds to the selected projects.
