In 2021, the CRTPO joined the City of Charlotte’s Adopt-a-City-Street (AACS) Program. AACS is a partnership program to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment by removing litter along designated roadways. The CRTPO was selected to adopt a 1.2-mile segment of South Boulevard in Charlotte, from Whitton Street to Woodlawn Road. The CRTPO hopes this will serve as a pilot program to adopt other locations in Iredell and Union counties upon successful participation from all the CRTPO member jurisdictions.
The teams second clean up event will be this Friday, April 1, 2022. Thank you to all the CRTPO Board and TCC members that join in and make this effort a success!
