How to Get Involved
CRTPO encourages resident participation in the transportation planning process. The CRTPO policy board meets on the third Wednesday of every month; special meetings are called on an as-needed basis. Our meetings begin at 6:00 PM and take place in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, located at 600 E. Fourth St. in uptown Charlotte.
Each meeting includes a 20-minute public comment period. Persons wishing to address the CRTPO board may do so during the comment period. An individual speaker’s time to address the board is limited to three (3) minutes. Organizations wishing to make presentations to the MPO must contact the Secretary at least 10 days prior to the meeting. The Secretary shall consult with the chairman to determine if the presentation should take place during the public comment period or be added as a regular agenda item. Presentations added to the regular agenda shall be limited to 15 minutes.
You may also contact CRTPO staff at email@CRTPO.org to express your opinions on the transportation planning process in Iredell, Mecklenburg, and Union counties.
